Every batch of fuel that leaves our refinery passes through laboratory testing against the required specification. Quality control is not a single inspection at the end of the line: it runs through the whole process.
Sampling at each stage
Samples are drawn as crude moves through distillation, through secondary processing, and again before finished products leave tank storage. Incoming crude is also checked against its expected characteristics before it is released into the process, so downstream units start from a known, consistent feedstock.
What the laboratory checks
Each sample is tested in our on-site laboratory against the specification required for that product. Quality control methods are reviewed and updated as testing methods and product specifications evolve.
Anything that does not meet specification does not move forward.
When a sample does not meet the grade
A failed result is a stop, not a note in a log. Nothing moves to the next stage, and no product is released for dispatch, until it has passed the required checks. Every blend is also verified by the laboratory before it is approved for storage and dispatch.
Why it runs through the whole process
Checking quality at every stage means problems are caught before they reach a finished product. For customers, the result is consistent product quality from one batch to the next.
